Budgeting & Finance
- Adopt a FY 2011 Budget that begins the process of rebuilding the Fund Balance.
- Find alternative streams of revenue to help stretch tax dollars.
- Propose a five-year budget for BOS approval.
- Revise five-year fee schedule for utility rates.
- Greater accountability for all Education spending.
- Provide Public School Division with parameters in which to build its FY 2011 Budget.
- Focus more effort on recruitment for High Tech industries.
- Increase technology such as high speed internet in highly-populated areas.
- Increase County involvement in Ladysmith Day.
- Revive Civil Ware re-enactments with focus on General Stonewall Jackson.
- Seek alternative funding sources through grants and assistance by engineering firms.
- Development master plans for water and wastewaters.
- Establish “Time and Materials’ contractor resources RFP and price sheet.
- Resolve water connection problems in Belmont Subdivision.
- Address Lake Caroline water issues.
- Better inventory number of department vehicles and their use.
- Seek improvements to water quality and quantity.
- Develop Master Plan for County use of the old Ladysmith Elementary School.
- Revise Summer Camp Program.
- Increase partnerships with all subdivisions and communities.
