Donkeys will soon be kicking up their heels at Caroline High School.
The event is a Donkey Basketball Game, with players riding donkeys, to be held in the gym on Monday, March 23.
The daring riders include Sheriff Tony Lippa, Supervisor Jeff Sili, Commonwealth's Attorney Tony Spencer, Superintendent Gregory Killough, Kim Wilson who is a secretary at the School Board Office, Lewis and Clark Elementary Principal Harold Pellegreen, School Board Member Tami Redding, Maj. Scott Moser of the Sheriff's Office and Bowling Green Primary Principal Debra Holt along with her teachers and staff.
The event is hosted by the Bowling Green Primary PTA.
"The PTA is trying to raise as much funds to help offset the budget cuts to teacher classroom supplies. We hope to be able to donate much of the classroom supplies that are needed for the classrooms so that our children's education will not suffer due to the current economic crisis," said PTA President Jennifer Stroud. The game starts at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $6 in advance and $8 at the door. Advance tickets can be bought at the Bowling Green Primary office.
