  • Tyrone writes: We were driving west on route 630 about a mile or so east of the 630/721 split and we saw a Bald Eagle eating a racoon or opossum just off of the south side of the road in an open field. It looked too small to be a fully grown adult but it was an older adolescent at least. The wing span was about 5 or 6 feet I'd have to say.

  • Barbara of Port Royal writes: We have an active eagle's nest within site of our house on Portobago Trail. There are a pair of nesting eagles occupying the nest. We are unable to see if there are chicks. On Saturday, the pair flew over our yard. The male eagle had a large fish which he took to the nest. What a glorious sight.
