Reminder: Please join the Caroline County Employee Team for the Relay for Life.
For those of you who do not know about this event it goes like this: Relay for Life is from Friday night starting at 7:00 p.m., May 30th until 7:00 a.m., Saturday morning, May 31st, located at the Caroline High School football field. It is an event to raise funds to fight cancer and raise awareness of cancer in the community. It is also a celebration of life honoring cancer survivors. While the relay is going on, a community party atmosphere is created by team members camping out, enjoying entertainment, food, games and camaraderie.
Each team member is required to pay a $10.00 registration fee, made payable to the American Cancer Society, and submitted to the team captain as this donation will provide each member with a Relay for Life tee shirt or you may join our team online. The web address to join our team online is: Caroline County Cancer Busters When you get to the website click on Join Our Team and follow instructions to complete your registration.
Each team member is asked to raise a minimum of $100 from donors prior to the event and return those funds to the team captain or donations can be made online at the above website address. If you choose not be participate, please make a donation to one of the team members.
In this day and age, we are personally touched in some way by cancer. Whether a spouse, sister, brother, child, parent, relative or friend, each of us have suffered a loss to this disease. In an effort to support the fight against cancer I am asking all employees to represent Caroline County Government by participating in the Relay for Life.

- Important Notice To All:
After 30 years Chris Sawyer has decided to retire from the Commissioner's Office on May 1. Due to a busy medical schedule she may not be in the office during the month of April. In lieu of a retirement party our office is starting a card party next week. Chris deserves our thanks for 30 years of productive and innovative work for Caroline County. Her knowledge of real estate in Caroline can not be topped by anyone. Please join our "card party" of funny and uplifting messages next week and thank Chris for her years of service.
