This is a part-time position (Monday – Friday 11:30 am – 5:00 pm) with responsibilities that include payment processing, balancing daily transactions, and maintaining supplemental payment records. The Customer Service Agent responds to customer questions/complaints and billing inquiries. The Customer Service Agent/Cashier has extensive contact with co-workers and the public. Must respond courteously and professionally to inquiries initiated by the public and other staff members. Presents and provides information to co-workers, citizens, other County departments, other State Agencies, attorneys, and financial institutions.

Must have good communication and organizational skills and experience in drafting correspondence to other agencies and taxpayers. Individual should have a high school diploma. Experience working with computerized cash register preferred. Must have ability to exercise sound independent judgement in a variety of situations; ability to interpret and apply administrative rules and regulations as appropriate. Part- time salary range is $7.50 to $8.00 per hour dependent on qualifications.

This is a full-time position with responsibilities that include researching delinquent accounts using multiple databases, preparing written correspondence for collections, and/or initiation of legal action when appropriate. Presents and provides information to the Deputy Treasurer –Delinquent Collections, other co-workers, citizens, other County departments, other State Agencies, employers of delinquent taxpayers, attorneys, and financial institutions.

This position deals directly with the public in resolving delinquent accounts. Must respond courteously and professionally to inquiries initiated by the public and other staff members. Must have good communication and organizational skills and experience in drafting correspondence to other agencies and taxpayers is required. In addition, a working knowledge of Excel and Mail Merge is required. Should be able to demonstrate the ability to work independently and some knowledge of county ordinances and policies, the Code of Virginia, and interoffice workings is preferred. Must have ability to exercise sound independent judgment in a variety of situations; ability to interpret and apply administrative rules and regulations as appropriate. Must be willing and able to work in a team environment. Individual should have a high school diploma. The starting salary range $23,175 - $24,465, dependent on qualifications.

Caroline County is accepting applications for a Full-Time Wastewater Operator. This is a technical position responsible for the operation, repair and maintenance of the wastewater system.

Applicants should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, a class IV license or the ability to obtain within one year and possess a valid driver’s license.

This position will require working rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays. The starting salary is $28,321 - $43,048 dependent on qualifications.
