- Paul writes: I left my home in Bowling Green traveling North on 301. I drove passed Fort A.P. Hill about 3/4 of a mile when I spotted what looked like a bird of prey in the middle of the road eating road kill. There was a car in front of me that didn't slow down and as it looked like it was about to hit the bird, the eagle flew off. That's when I saw the white tail feathers. The eagle merely flew up into a tree in the median between 301N and 301S. I pulled over and looked at him for a moment, beautiful wight head. I was amazed how strong he appeard, a handsome bird!

- Bronwen writes: I was traveling back and forth between Ladysmith and Bowling Green. I noticed a large bird flying overhead. I knew it was too large to be a hawk but was not sure what it was. After looking at your information, I am certain it was an Eagle. I wish it had been a clearer day and it had been closer so I could have gotten a better look. I will definitely be keeping an eye out from now on.
