PUBLIC HEARING

The Caroline County Board of Supervisors and Virginia Department of Transportation will hold a public hearing Tuesday, May 28, 2013 in the Community Services Center Auditorium, located at 17202 Richmond Turnpike, Milford, Virginia, to consider the following:

Beginning at 7:30 p.m.

An Ordinance to Amend the Code of Caroline County by repealing and replacing certain provisions of Chapter 68, Noise:
The following Section of Chapter 68 shall be repealed: 68.2 (Certain noise unlawful), 68.4 (Standards), 68.12 (Violations and Penalties) 68.13 (Enforcement) and 68.14 (Additional Remedies), and new provisions will be added including additional definitions, an exemption for noises resulting from activities conducted in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 49 Festivals and/or Chapter 50 Fireworks, and a revised penalty and enforcement section.

Any persons desiring to be heard in favor of or in opposition to the above is hereby invited to be present at the Public Hearing. Copies of the above are on file in the Department of Planning & Community Development, 233 West Broaddus Avenue, Bowling Green, VA 22427.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE – JOINT MEETING
CAROLINE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
PROPOSED SECONDARY SIX-YEAR PLAN FOR FY 2014-2019

The Caroline County Board of Supervisors and Virginia Department of Transportation will conduct a public hearing on June 11, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. in the Community Services Center, Auditorium, located at 17202 Richmond Turnpike, Milford, Virginia.

The purpose of this public hearing is to receive public comment on the proposed Secondary Six-Year Plan (SSYP) for Fiscal Years 2014 through 2019 in Caroline County and on the Secondary System Construction Budget for Fiscal Years 2014 through 2019.  Copies of the proposed plan and budget may be reviewed at the Caroline County Administrator’s Office located at 212 North Main Street, Bowling Green.

All projects in the SSYP eligible for federal funds will be included in the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP), which documents how Virginia will obligate federal transportation funds.  Persons in need of special accommodations to review the information or to participate in the public hearing should contact the County Administrator’s Office at (804) 633-5380 so that reasonable accommodations can be provided.

Beginning at 7:30 p.m.

RZ-01-2013 – Long, Ellis Ray, Sr., Owner/Applicant: Request a Rezoning from M-1 Industrial (no specified density) to RP, Rural Preservation (one dwelling unit per 10 acres) on tax map #82-A-68 consisting of 1.43 acres +/-. This property is located at 25162 Jefferson Davis Highway, southwest corner of Route 1 and Route 613, Reedy Church Voting District. The 2030 Comprehensive Plan identifies this area as being located in the Carmel Church Community Plan designated as Residential Development. Proposed Use: Residential

SPEX-08-2012 – Crystal Springs, LLC., Owner; Pinehill Automotive, Applicant: Request a Special Exception Permit in accordance with Article XVII, Section 13 (Standards for Special Use Permits) and Article IX, (B-1, Business), Section 3.17 of the Caroline County Zoning Ordinance on tax map #13A-A-9 consisting of 1.90 acres +/-. This property is located at 25527 Tidewater Trail, Port Royal Voting District. . The 2030 Comprehensive Plan identifies this property as being located in the Port Royal Community Plan designated as Planned Commercial. Proposed Use: Tow Service Operation

TXT-09-2013: An Ordinance to Amend the Zoning Ordinance of Caroline County by amending Article IX Business, Section 3, (Uses Permitted by Special Exception), by repealing and replacing Paragraph 6. The purpose of this text amendment is to expand “processing, light warehousing, wholesaling and distribution establishments” to include “assembly”.
