| Quarles Petroleum has begun construction in the Milford Industrial Park. Completion is expected within 2005. The Quarles recruitment has been on-going for two years. The Caroline County Department of Economic Development assisted the project through levering Department of Rail and Public Transportation Rail Industrial Access Program funding for the rail project. Quarles Petroleum will receive $300,000 from the Commonwealth of Virginia to construct a rail siding for the movement of rail cars at the site. The rail project further upgrades the industrial site at the Southern end of the Milford industrial area. Additional sites are available for future industrial rail projects.
